You've reached Frisk. If I'm not answering my phone, please leave a message or find me on the second floor, Room 12.

[They echo, even if it's blatantly ridiculous to get on someone's case for not having an exact date when you've already buried your own birthdate utterly.
And they. They definitely don't wonder what month it is here, they definitely don't think maybe they should actually start keeping track of what day it is and how much time has passed. Because they have absolutely decided not to care about how much time they have left to figure out the exact date, because it does not even matter.]
I told you, there's nothing to celebrate. My time's ended. I'm never getting older.
[They announce it sharply and quickly, but... they know their partner, at least a little bit. They know what an endless fountain of sap they are capable of being. Power of friendship and anime, so on and so forth.]
...But I'm not going to be able to stop you from picking something, am I?
no subject
[Besides, they can pick a date together. That's much more fun, isn't it?]
We can be twins like everyone keeps saying! Or, or you could pick the date you ended up Underground, like that's your actual birthday!
[It's too late. Frisk is in their element.]

[They bury their face in their pillow, because this whole thing is just stupid and sappy and there is literally no point to the entire concept of birthdays. There's no point!]
Let's... let's be... twins. I guess.
[It's muffled by their pillow, and kind of mumbled. No point. But if they have the same day, then Chara can shove it all off onto Frisk, sort of... sort of duck behind their partner. Anyway, that's fair. Frisk already knows the date Chara fell, but Chara doesn't know when this uncertain date sometime in May, they think, even is. This way, they get to find out, at least.
Not. Not that they really want to know or care. Just to satisfy their curiosity, is all. Just a passing, unimportant whim.]

[Chara you are going to have fun and enjoy that special day if Frisk has to force it out of you. Fun, darn it!]
Birthdays can be fun, you know. They're supposed to be!
no subject
[Also mumbled, flatly, into a pillow.]
Unfortunately, I forgot to include the capacity for fun into my cunning design. It's impossible. Alas. Too bad.

Liar.
[But they say it fondly, without any bite whatsoever.]

...Even they can realize how childish they're being. They stop, they... they laugh a little, quietly, sort of to themselves.]
Just. Tell me when it's... our? When it's our birthday. Then I guess we'll just have to see how fun these birthday things can allegedly be.

I'll mark it on the calendar.
